10-inch mini rack for a closet that is not 19-inch
Most network gear is 19 inches wide. That is the normal size. A 10-inch cabinet is a skinny special case, only if the wall is too narrow, or you already own skinny gear. If your switch already fits a normal rack, stay on the StarTech 12U.
10-inch here means the rails are closer together (254 mm), not a 10-inch-deep shelf on a normal rack. Most small switches, power strips, and 12-port panels are 19-inch. The 15.75-inch-deep box is only the buy if you measured a 10-inch switch that needs more than 7 in of rail.

Skip
Skip 10-inch because it looks smaller in a photo. Skip a 19-inch desktop open frame sold as a “mini rack.” Those still take 19-inch gear. Skip the glass-door sibling unless you want to look at LEDs; same money as perforated on the 11.8-inch 6U. Skip 10-inch switches unless the cabinet is already on the wall. The 10-inch panel, once that cabinet is the job, is TRENDnet TC-P12C6. Skip eBay lots. If you are still on 19-inch, the compare lives in 12U vs 10-inch. I haven't hung one.
