EAP670 V2: AX5400 and 2.5G without buying Wi-Fi 7

If you already have a 2.5G PoE switch and no Wi-Fi 7 clients, this is the last Omada stop before EAP772/773.

EAP670 is still Wi-Fi 6: 4804 + 574, 2.4 GHz 2×2 / 5 GHz 4×4, 2.5G uplink, 802.3at, US V2 22.3 W PoE. B&H $149.99. Amazon B09ZV19DBP $155. That is more radio than EAP653 and none of the Wi-Fi 7 tax.

22.3 W needs an at-class port. The first-apartment 5-port brick is still cheap PoE for two APs if you are on gigabit. A 15.4 W af injector will not do. Use a TL-POE160S or a 64 W+ at switch. Two of these are ~45 W — they fit SG108PE’s 64 W budget only if nothing else is drawing. Prefer SG2210XMP-M2 if you bought the 2.5G story.

Skip

Skip EAP670 if your switch is still gigabit — the extra radio does not need a 2.5G tax on a 1G jack. Skip jumping to EAP773. Skip 24 V passive.
