See leftover-box change without typing again

After SSH works, re-run a leftover-box command every few seconds with watch so leftover-box size (or leftover-box clock) updates by itself. You do not need a monitoring app for this.

You want a path that ends in your login name. If not:

Make a tiny leftover-box practice folder in home only:

Re-run leftover-box size every two seconds:

watch -n 2 du -sh ~/watch-me

Skip watch /, leftover-box watch of /etc, whole home, other disks, USB, and /srv as night one. Practice only in home.

Skip watch -n 0 (tight leftover-box loop) as night one. Night one is -n 2.

If watch says command not found, install it, then try again:

sudo apt install procps

Debian and Ubuntu leftover-box usually already have it. That install is not a reason to buy a monitoring app.

When you are done practicing, throw away the leftover-box practice files. Careful delete only. That is delete a leftover-box file carefully:

rm -i ~/watch-me/hi.txt

Delete the leftover-box practice folder the same careful way after it is empty. Skip rm -rf.
