Official Synology Certified Refurbished exists. Amazon Renewed is third-party restore, not Synology CPO. The clean US buy on 22 Aug 2026 is a new diskless DS224+ at $299.99.
Official CPO: 2-year Synology warranty, 30-day returns, new panels and accessories (power adapter is refurbished), not eligible for Extended Warranty Plus. The live program page is the EU storefront. US SKU stock was not a populated cart on the US product page when fetched. A Newegg “Refurbished: DS224+” listed 24 Jul 2026 is sold by “Synology America Corp Marketplace” — treat as a maybe. Confirm seller and price; the page showed the $299.99 new band, not a clear CPO discount.

HPE Renew is a channel/VAR program. There was no live closet switch or ProLiant CPO page with a clean retail cart on 22 Aug 2026. We are not inventing one. Amazon Renewed OptiPlex / EliteDesk is also not official HP or Dell CPO.
