UniFi U7 Lite: $99, 2.5G, and the 6 GHz they left off
Same Lite mount as AC Lite / U6 Lite. Honest dual-band Wi-Fi 7. Not a flagship.
Lon.TV (8 Jun 2025) and Hostifi document the real product: 2.4 + 5 GHz Wi-Fi 7, 4 streams, 2.5 GbE, 802.3af, max about 13 W, 1,250 ft² class, 200+ clients. No 6 GHz. For a closet house that is the honest sell. Pair it with the UniFi PoE Adapter 15W (U-PoE / U-POE-AF, $8 on the UI store) or a fanless af/at switch. Do not pair it with a U7 Pro “because Wi-Fi 7.”
U6 Lite is delisted. Do not send yourself hunting used 24 V AC-Lite leftovers. If you need a current UniFi Wi-Fi 6 SKU, U6+ is still new at $129 on the UI store / $136 at B&H. Most houses that want a Lite mount in 2026 should just take the U7 Lite.

If you only need watts for two Lite-class APs, start at cheap PoE for two APs. Versus Omada: EAP653 is $80, gigabit, 802.3at, no UniFi app. That comparison is EAP653 vs U7 Lite. Versus the $190 tri-band boxes: you are paying the Wi-Fi 7 tax for 6 GHz and a 10G uplink a 1G WAN cannot use.
Skip
Skip U7 Pro unless you have 6 GHz clients and a reason. Skip hunting a used U6 Lite. Skip a 24 V airMAX injector — U7 Lite is 44–57 V 802.3af only. The converter that goes the other way is INS-3AF-I-G.
