TP-Link SG3210X-M2 vs TRENDnet TEG-3102WS
Same port recipe: 8× 2.5G + 2× 10G SFP+. Both fanless. Both managed. This is a two-horse VLAN race, not a reprint of the four-SKU copper table.
TRENDnet is the street-price / lifetime / NDAA pick already in the shipped table. Omada is the controller / static-route / app pick. TEG-3102WS uses an external 12 V / 1.5 A brick (Amazon included-components). SG3210X-M2 is IEC cord / internal. Neither has PoE. If US Omada street sits near $230–350, TRENDnet still wins on price; Omada wins on SDN. Recheck both buy boxes. Solo Omada note: SG3210X-M2.
The short list
| Box | What it is | Street, 22 Aug 2026 | Buy if |
|---|---|---|---|
| TRENDnet TEG-3102WS | 8× 2.5G + 2× 10G SFP+, web-smart, fanless, external 12 V / 1.5 A, lifetime / NDAA | Amazon $169.98 (one index) / $214.99 (another offer snap). Newegg $199.99. | VLANs plus a DAC and you care about street price and paper. |
| TP-Link SG3210X-M2 | Same ports, Omada L2+, fanless, internal PSU | Amazon B0D461YN33. CA $349.99. US buy-box not a single printed number this pass. | You already run Omada and you will pay the SDN tax. |
Skip
Skip both if you do not need VLANs — buy the unmanaged 8-port. Skip SG3210XHP-M2 as the "Omada with more watts" default. Skip QSW-M2108-2C. See managed vs unmanaged if you are still on the fence.
