Learn the idea, then do the job
Swipe the ByteRush cards for the idea. Do the matching Labthrift note on the old PC. Tick Lab plan when it actually works.
Cards are not the install. A green quiz is not SSH from the couch. The computer on the house network is the test.
The loop
- Open the how-to, or the ByteRush lesson that points at it.
- Use the sandbox on the card if there is one — it does not touch a real host.
- Do the job from the note, on the leftover box.
- Tick that row in Lab plan only after it works.
Deep links
ByteRush understands ?lesson= on the home URL. Plan's weekend path uses those links. Examples:
- SSH lesson then SSH from the couch
- Pi-hole lesson then the first useful thing
- Share lesson then a file share
- Backup lesson then a backup of the house folder
If you have not picked topics yet, ByteRush follows the lesson's topic so the card is not buried.
